Handle and compound hazardous drugs (HDs) in compliance with USP guidelines.
Perform cleaning, decontamination, and garbing procedures in designated non-sterile hazardous areas.
Maintain clean and organized compounding workspaces, adhering to cross-contamination prevention protocols.
Accurately document all compounding processes and batch records.
Operate and maintain compounding equipment such as balances, homogenizers, and mixers.
Work collaboratively with the pharmacist and QA team to ensure batch accuracy and quality control.
Assist in inventory control and proper storage and labeling of raw materials, hazardous components, and finished products.
Participate in internal audits and training updates to stay current with USP and OSHA regulations.
Quality Control
Perform quality checks at each stage of the compounding process to verify dosage accuracy and product integrity.

The Opportunity
The Sterile Compounding Technician will be responsible for compounding sterile GLP-1 medications, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and adhering strictly to regulatory standards and internal SOPs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong math skills, and proficiency with sterile equipment. The technician will oversee the sterile compounding process, pass required tests (e.g., fingertip tests), and ensure that all compounds meet the required quality standards.
What you'll be doing:
Compound sterile GLP-1 medications accurately and aseptically in accordance with formulations and recipes.
Operate compounding equipment, including repeater pumps, to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production.
Adhere to all SOPs and regulatory guidelines to maintain sterility and safety throughout the compounding process.
Conduct required fingertip and media-fill tests to demonstrate proficiency in sterile techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in both paper and electronic formats, following pharmacy regulations.
Complete batch records, verify calculations, and document compounding steps precisely.
Identify potential errors or deviations in the compounding process and implement corrective actions.
Proactively optimize workflow to increase efficiency and maintain high standards of sterile compounding.

Qualifications:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with specialized training in sterile compounding.
Certifications: Passing required sterile technique tests (e.g., fingertip and media-fill tests).

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Non-Sterile Compounding Technician Supervisor to lead daily operations within our compounding department. Utilize and maintain compounding equipment (balances, mixers, homogenizers, ovens, etc.)
Compound a wide range of preparations, including:
Troches
Creams, gels, ointments
Nasal sprays
Oral drops, solutions, suspensions
Rapid Dissolve Tablets (RDTs)
Supervise and support day-to-day compounding activities and technician performance
Follow procedures for hazardous drug (HD) handling per USP
Maintain clean and organized workspaces to prevent cross-contamination
Collaborate with pharmacists and QA to ensure batch accuracy and quality
Support inventory management and proper labeling/storage of materials
Assist in training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Quality Control
Perform in-process and final quality checks to ensure product accuracy and integrity
Comply with USP , USP , and internal SOPs at all stages of production
Documentation

Qualifications
Required
