The Specialty Pharmacy Technician will effectively support the successful implementation and execution of all pharmacy programs and processes. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician will provide support to the pharmacy staff to ensure applicable program processes and operational responsibilities are met.
Schedule: Open 7 days per week, per diem, Weekdays: 7:30am - 8:00pm PST. Weekends: 8:00am - 7: 00 pm PST Rotating holidays and weekends. The supervisor will determine the schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:
Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
Resolve customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
Fulfillment of prescription orders
Ability to interpret prescription orders and enter into the pharmacy system
Answering the telephone utilizing appropriate etiquette
Documenting interventions and tracking outcomes with Pharmacy team
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Nevada

Job Description:
The Pharmacy Warehouse Fulfillment Technician performs designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications, including sterile admixtures and prepackaged or unit dose drugs. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:
Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
Desired:
Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
