Responsibilities
• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
• Provide high level of customer service by answering pharmacy phones and responding promptly to the requests of colleagues, patients, nurses, physicians, and hospice personnel.

• Maintain the orderliness of the pharmacy by keeping pharmacy countertops and drug bay shelves tidy and organized.
• Enter, access, and verify the accuracy of data in the pharmacy system.

Draw doses into either a syringe or vial
Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with Federal, State, Company and manufacturer's guidelines.
Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals according to the Department of Transportation and Company guidelines
Maintain computer inventory and records to ensure proper utilization of materials and accounting for Rx drugs

International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications for patients, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

Performs daily maintenance functions on automated equipment.
Runs daily operational and pharmacy reports.
Performs a variety of quality assurance/quality improvement activities.
Function as contact person for on-line point system to include training others or responding to questions.

Position Summary:
The Prior Authorization Technician will assist callers by providing quality service through efficient and accurate prior authorization service support. They will be taking calls from pharmacies, physicians, and other medical professions in support of member prior authorization for medication approvals.
Major Job Duties:
• Answer calls from members and patient representatives in support of member prior authorizations.
• Provide specialized information on a variety of matters relating to the processing of prior authorizations; assist the pharmacist with prior authorization requests.
• Provide support to the Catamaran call center.
• Perform clerical functions incidental to prior authorization activities.
• Compile statistical data. Assist with reports and analyses.
• Assist with reviewing and updating client-specific procedural documents.
• Full-Time; some evenings and weekends may be necessary.
• Other special projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
