We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This position is Part-time, 3 days per week. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & QUALIFICATIONS: Preparation of IV medications (cytotoxic and research medications) under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor and Pharmacist. Dispense the appropriate quantities of drugs from the automated dispensing system and account for waste. Maintain records by recording and filing prescriptions and orders of the physicians. Process and Dispense prescriptions using QS1 software while ensuring that all information is accurate and complete. Assist the Pharmacy Manager with prior authorizations and co-pay assistance programs. Respond to patients' and healthcare providers' requests; answering questions and referring inquires to the appropriate physicians. Set up for next day's chemotherapy mix cycle. Clean equipment, shelving units and work areas according to designated methods. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents and computerized materials such as practitioner orders, safety rules, material safety data sheets, maintenance, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Excellent computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records. EDUCATION CERTIFICATION California pharmacy technician license.
