Responsibilities: • Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications. • Responsible for the overall safety and security of the pharmacy which includes pharmacy keys, alarm codes, etc. • Directly supervises the technicians and residents when on duty, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately during shift. • Works collaboratively with Harbor Health administration, providers, pharmacy and nursing staff to provide quality care. • Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications. • Ensures appropriate record keeping for each prescription including proper perpetual documentation of all controlled substances in Schedules II-V. • Responsible for 340B compliance when filling and checking medications. • Ensures strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures. • Provides timely and accurate delivery of services to clients. • Works in collaboration with pharmacy staff to increase their clinical effectiveness and counseling skills. • Ensures adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations. • Participates in the implementation and documentation of drug recalls through established policy and procedures in a timely manner, including documentation and the required detailing of the disposition of such drugs. • Responsible for communicating all incidents to the Pharmacist in Charge or Director of Pharmacy, when applicable. Requirements: • Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) • Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, current CPR/BLS required. • One year of pharmacy or related experience, preferably in outpatient clinic pharmacy services or retail pharmacy. • Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize appropriately. • Must be detail orientated with prompt follow up. • Excellent communication skills with patients and collaboration with health center staff and providers. • Must be proficient in daily pharmacy programs and procedures currently in place as well as proposed future programs and procedures. • One year of pharmacy or related experience, preferably in outpatient clinic pharmacy services or retail pharmacy. • Computer literate, must have intermediate skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. • Bilingual in English/Vietnamese/Portuguese/Spanish a plus!
