What you will do
Check all patient medication orders to make sure they are suitable and enter orders into the system for inpatient unit.
Oversee the dispensing, ordering, and restocking of medications for the hospice unit.
Confirm and review deliveries from shipping vendors and pharmacy couriers before they are shipped.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
Participate in pharmacy operations and inventory management.
Help maintain excellent customer service and client relations.
Create and update training documents for new employees.
Manage inventory according to financial guidelines and oversee ordering supplies, including for hospice units.
Assist the Pharmacy Manager with regular reviews of the formulary and inventory for inpatient facilities.
