Ensures the use of all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy in conjunction with state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions. The Product Review/Retail Fill Process Pharmacist has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the elements of Good Faith are present.
Maintains current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET to provide support to customers as well as pharmacy staff. Proposes and implements enhancements to pharmacy systems to further promote productivity.
Ensures the accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections. Follows-up with insurance companies as well as medical providers and participates in 3rd party audit.
Follows-up with medical providers' offices to clarify prescribed medications, dosages, refills, interactions and allergies to suggest alternative medications, and answer medical provider questions
Performs retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive healthcare services.
Assists and supports the pharmacy manager in analyzing performance data including pharmacy financial, customer service, and implementation of procedures for pharmacy asset protection and inventory management. Reviews KPI's with Pharmacy Manager, Store Manager, and Healthcare Supervisor.
Develops and maintains good relationships with local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Participates in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business and further enhance growth opportunities.
Partners with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration, 3rd party reviews, and assists with resolving customer issues to support the Well Experience locations. In virtual environments, conducts virtual product review by following specific company procedures and guidelines (e.g. using specific photographs taken by the technicians sent electronically during the F4 process and reduce transactional tasks).

3rd year Pharmacy Interns are responsible for completion of a comprehensive training roadmap, focusing on KLEs that build aptitude in the following areas. As tenure increases, 3rd year Pharmacy Interns take on increasing responsibility of the safety and effectiveness of operations in the pharmacy, including but not limited to:
Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (i.e., production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient's medical history to provide optimal care, when appropriate under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist

Delivering additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics), where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification
Where permissible, the 3rd year Pharmacy Intern may also support immunizations, which includes the following responsibilities:
Completing additional licensure and training requirements, in compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, to obtain Technician Immunizer status to support preparing and administering vaccines
Educating patients about the importance of vaccines and referring patients to the Pharmacist-on-duty for vaccination questions
Monitoring for, and responding to, adverse reactions; reporting adverse reaction events per public health requirements

Job Description
Fills in-patient medication orders in an accurate and timely manner.
Prepares and packages bulk medications for unit dose dispensing not packaged by the Pak Plus technician.
Assists the Pharmacist in implementing the narcotic control system.
Operates Robot-Rx to fill the unit dose cassette medications drawers and first doses.
Maintain AcuDose cabinets
Performs the clerical functions associated with the pharmacy activity.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
HS diploma or GED
Completion of approved pharmacy tech training program
Previous work in a pharmacy environment.
Additional Information
Length of Assignment: 16 weeks of contract

Shifts: 5 days a week/ 6 hours day shift / guaranteed 30 hours a week

We seek a **Pharmacy Technician** to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
**Location Address:** 810 E 4th Street, Duluth, MN 55805 and 332 West Superior Street, Duluth, MN 55802
**Schedule:** Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST and Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm CST
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
+ Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
+ Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
+ Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
+ Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
+ Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
+ Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
+ Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
+ Other duties as assigned
