Verify medications stocked in automated dispensing machines and floor stock areas. Check IVs, batch preparations, patient-owned meds, repackaged items, and extemporaneous compounds. Inspect crash cart trays, rapid response kits, and emergency supplies. 4. Sterile Compounding Prepare and supervise aseptic compounding of IVs, including chemotherapy agents. Manage batched IV medication levels to prevent waste and support efficiency. Maintain strong knowledge of sterile technique, TPN compounding, and hazardous drug handling. Complete all required documentation and labeling. 5. Clinical Functions Participate in clinical initiatives and therapeutic monitoring. Document clinical interventions and clarification activities. Support Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee initiatives. Identify and eliminate duplicate or inappropriate therapies. Convert non-formulary requests to formulary medications when appropriate. 6. Drug Information Provide accurate drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients/families. Utilize and interpret drug information resources effectively. 7. Performance Improvement & Customer Service Answer phones and service windows promptly and courteously. Independently troubleshoot issues as they arise.
