Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician Contract: 3-months contract with possible extension Shift: 2nd shift - start between 12:00 PM - 04:00 PM / 3rd Shift -Starts around 09:00 PM-11:00 PM (Monday to Friday - Overtime work needed) Hours Per week: 40 hours per week Responsibilities: Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure. Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume times Packages materials and products manually. Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks). Apply labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy check. Alerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly. Maintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies needed. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA. Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected. Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Picking, labeling, scanning and otherwise preparing the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist. Work Environment This position operates in a closed-door pharmacy, primarily focusing on at-home infusion. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with rotating on-call weekends mainly on Saturdays. You will work within a collaborative team of 15 people, in an environment that offers room for growth and advancement. This role does not involve direct patient interaction. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
