JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statutes as well as SHS policies. Educates patients. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Geary Street Clinic Pharmacy is a community pharmacy located in a multidisciplinary ambulatory clinic in Albany. The pharmacy is open to any member of the public. The primary role of this pharmacy is to dispense community patient prescriptions. They also offer immunizations, medication management services, and contraceptive prescribing. The pharmacy is staffed by experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who are dedicated to patient care. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. The purpose of this position is to provide the services of a licensed pharmacist which includes the responsibility for the safe and proper distribution and use of medications in outpatient settings who range in age from infants, children, adolescents, adults and elderly. This is a Relief position. The purpose of Relief Staff positions is (1) to provide relief for absences of regular and Probationary Period employees, (2) to provide staff for short-term project, and (3) to supplement existing staffing levels.
