Responsibilities
Providing virtual inpatient pharmacy services during off-tour hours (midnight to 6 AM)
Reviewing and verifying pending clinic and outpatient prescription orders in the Urgent Care Department
Performing professional review and problem-solving to ensure safe and appropriate medication processing
Verifying remote prescription orders and entering data into VA systems
Supporting inpatient pharmacy services remotely
Using secure web-based systems provided by the contractor
Coordinating with VA staff and maintaining credentialing status
Providing backup pharmacist candidates for credentialing

Part‑Time Staff Pharmacist - CO/NV The Part‑Time Staff Pharmacist, based in a Cigna office in Denver, CO or Las Vegas, NV, provides telepharmacy services to multiple hospital clients across various states. Job Summary
The pharmacist in this role will provide prescription order entry, verification, and processing for medications specific to treating renal disease.
Responsibilities
Applies expert knowledge of drugs and related protocols, to verify physician orders for medications using pharmacy information system. Checks drug and dose in relation to stated patient issue and addresses automated alerts from the system regarding drug type, dose, and other metrics.
Enter/validate medication orders in the client facility pharmacy information system via emulation capabilities
Prioritize based on time in queue and/or status of order (e.g. STAT orders)
Comply with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations, Remote Pharmacy Services policies and procedures and the client facility policies and procedures when performing pharmacist duties
Communicate professionally with colleagues, patients and healthcare providers.
Perform clarifications, interventions and provision of drug information and ensure all consults are accurate and complete
Answering the telephone and accepting a referring call
Obtain all initial state licensure required within the timeframe determined by the Remote Pharmacy Services Director and maintain said licensure in good standing
Assist with training and education of new team members and existing staff members as needed or assigned
Review orders entered by pharmacy technicians/clerks for accuracy and appropriateness (if applicable)
Attendance at staff meetings and/or training will be periodically required in addition to regularly scheduled staffing requirements
Complete all required training and competencies in a timely manner
Other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Hours and compensation potential:
•The positions are full time(need 2) and also need a part time(1) person:
-One location is open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm(1 RPh and 3 techs begin at 7am to get a head start) and 9am-5pm on Saturday & Sunday.
RPh's work 1 Saturday every 4 weeks and 1 Sunday every 12 weeks. They schedule 3 RPh's working on the counter in addition to the RPh manager.
Because of this overlapping RPh coverage they can accommodate an RPh who prefers to work three 12- hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. In a typical 12-hour weekday at the location there are 4 RPh's and 15-18 technicians.
They fill around 1000 rx's on Mondays, 700-800 rx's on the other weekdays and 250-300 on the weekends.
-One location is open Mon-Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-5pm, closed on Sunday. The RPh works either 9am-5:30pm or 10:30am-7pm and one Saturday every four weeks. There are always 2 RPh's scheduled on weekdays plus a 3rd RPh on Monday's and the busier days of the month.
They have 8 to 10 technicians working daily during the week. They fill 500-600 rx's daily during the week and 150-175 on Saturdays.
•Both locations are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Rotate other holiday so person works one holiday every year or two.
•The range starts at $54.85hr($114K)-$75hr($156K) depends on years of experience. Someone around 10 years experience would be $64.52hr($134K) for example.
