Provides user support and training for Pharmacy computer system applications. Provides instruction and/or documentation, coordinates and documents testing, and reports and follows up on software malfunctions for installation, upgrade, and maintenance of system applications. Documents and communicates changes to affected departments. Advises hospital community in proper use of CPT4 procedure codes. Assists in development and maintenance of controls to facilitate accurate reporting of patient charges. Monitors charge activity of new departments on automated billing system. Uses standard patient accounting reports to research and resolve discrepancies in revenue reporting between Data Input and hospital departments. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Current Massachusetts license as a Pharmacy Technician. Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications. 2. Responsible for the accurate delivery of services to clients. 3. Ability to lead a team of technicians including but not limited to training new technicians, organizing daily retail workflow, overseeing in-house delivery services and helping reduce the prescription to patient turnaround time. 4. Ensure that billing documents and inventory control records are completed and accurate. 5. Ensure strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures. 6. Work in collaboration with other pharmacy staff to achieve clinical effectiveness . 7. Ensure adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations. 8. Maintain strict control over distribution and usage of all medications, including government controlled products such as narcotics and barbiturates. 9. Ensure appropriate record keeping for each prescription filled for pharmacy files, for control files on narcotics, poisons, habit-forming drugs or for billing records. 10. Monitor and participate in QA activities. REQUIREMENTS: * Current and Unrestricted Pharmacist license in the Commonwealth of MA. * 1 or more years of Retail Pharmacy experience. * Long Term Care experience a plus * Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. * Ability to discuss sensitive and confidential information in a polished and unbiased manner.
