The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS)

Required Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License
California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
Minimum of one year (>2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - or 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy in not PTCB certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians)
Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
