Position: Pharmacist Float
We're looking for a Pharmacist Float to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with processing prescriptions. This full-time position guarantees 40 hours per week and involves traveling to our pharmacies to cover for PTO and LOAs for our pharmacists. You could be working at any of our pharmacy sites in Sacramento, Redding, Chico, Santa Rosa, Fairfield, San Francisco, Fresno, Hanford, and Visalia, CA.

How to qualify
Minimum Qualifications
1. Experience: One (1) year (equivalent to 2,000 hours) of experience (in the last 5 years) assisting in the preparation of drug and pharmaceutical items in a licensed pharmacy;
AND
2. License: Possession of a valid Pharmacy Technician License/Registration issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. (Please attach a copy)

Substitution: Possession of a valid Intern Pharmacist License/Registration issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy may substitute for the required experience and license.

Provide a sample of final product to QC for pH and microbial testing, making time to work with QC on pH adjustments that may be required with certain recipes.
Verify that only accurate, current, and authorized documentation is available in production area.
Track production and ensure all deadlines and schedules are met.
Ensure that production area is clean and organized. Ensure all equipment used for each batch is thoroughly sanitized.
Attend all production meetings.
Participate in inventory stock take of raw materials and manage documentation of final count numbers.
Ensure work meets or exceeds standards and monitor quality to fix problems immediately.
Adhere to safety rules including using required personal protective equipment.
Train staff on the proper techniques and duties of the compounding role at Marie Veronique.
Cross-train and perform filling, labeling and inventory/shipping duties as requested.
Serves as the senior employee on site when the Supervisor or a comparable manager is not available.

Job Description:
Support the Virtual Pharmacy team in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures that improve clinical outcomes, maximize resource utilization, and improve performance on clinical quality measures.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Conduct patient outreach to provide medication refill reminders, medication affordability resources, identify and address barriers to adherence, address gaps in care, and enroll patients in disease management programs.
* Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related issues and escalate clinical concerns.
* Coordinate with provider offices, dispensing pharmacies, vendors, and health plans to ensure timely order fulfillment of prescriptions and diabetes testing supplies.
* Triage and refer patients to other members of the Hill Physicians virtual care team (virtual pharmacist, health educator, health navigator, community health advocate, social worker, case manager) as appropriate.
* Assist with workflow efficiencies for clinical programs including gathering patient charts for pharmacists' review and managing patient lists on Excel files.
* Document all patient related interactions in the electronic health record.

Skills and Experience Required
* Active California Pharmacy Technician License
* Minimum 2 years of pharmacy-related training and experience, including:
