Phelps Memorial Health Center company history timeline
In April 1968, Doctor Walter Reiner was elected president of the newly formed medical staff, with Doctor Donald Jones vice president, and Doctor Robert D. Anderson as secretary.
When Phelps Memorial Health Center opened its doors in 1968, 64 people were employed.
Doctor Tom Smith and Doctor Bill Sandy, who had been friends in medical school at the University of Iowa, came to Holdrege in the summer of 1980, but almost as soon as they arrived, the Mayo Clinic diagnosed Doctor McConahay with pancreatic cancer and Drs.
The Medical Office Building (MOB), which is adjacent to the north entrance of the medical center, was completed in 2007.
In 2008, the Family Medical Specialties group moved from their original offices in downtown Holdrege to a beautiful new facility located near the Phelps Memorial Health Center.
The Waynesville Medical Plaza opened in July 2015.
The Delbert Day Cancer Institute (DDCI) opened January 9, 2017.
Phelps Health Immediate Care Rolla, a new walk-in clinic serving patients in south-central Missouri, opened February 1, 2021.
