The Patient Services Representative III (PSR III) serves as the face of our company to patients, whether they are visiting for routine health services or critical health decisions.

Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (e.g. FDA approved
Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP) to maintain the highest production
standards and ensure facility compliance.
Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience in line with company
values and culture.
Maintains cleanliness of work area to ensure a clean and professional environment.
Reviews and confirms donor identification and maintains donor confidentiality per Standard
Operating Procedures.
Sets up and prepares all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and
plasmapheresis procedure.
Labels and ensures each unit and samples are labeled accurately.
Execute venipunctures and plasma collection, maintaining the highest standards of quality and
safety.
Operates the automated plasmapheresis machines, including response and evaluation of all
machine alarms and alerts, donor adverse events, document exceptions, etc.
Monitor donor conditions, employing techniques to ensure donor comfort, safety, and the quality
of plasma product.
Maintains proper ratio to ensure donor safety and to quality of product.
Disconnects the donor and handle the disposal of biohazardous waste and contaminated
equipment, including cleaning spills and following safety protocols.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly calibration/maintenance of automated plasmapheresis
machines and removes and/or replaces equipment from service, if needed.
Reports all unsafe situations and conditions to management.
Maintains/stocks adequate inventory and replenish supplies on plasma carts.
Able to drive training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance.
Responsible for troubleshooting machine alarms/alerts and perform QCs routinely (defined as
daily/monthly) on equipment.
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.

High school diploma, or equivalent (GED) required.
Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
Minimum three (3) months' experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent
combination of education and experience preferred.
Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties
independently.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required.
Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
Able to make accurate and complete documentation.

About the role:

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
* You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
* You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
* You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
* You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
* You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:

The Phlebotomist performs basic laboratory functions: specimen collection (i.e. venipuncture, capillary, cultures, and chain of custody) & processing of specimen.
This is a part-time (0.625) position working M-F from 7:15 am - 12:15 pm out of our Edina location.
ogi | Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
Performs routine laboratory procedures within established guidelines.
Verifies patient identification.
Identifies and uses appropriate collection method to obtain samples for testing (venipuncture or capillary puncture).
Collects sample, evaluates specimen's acceptability, and labels specimen.
Accurate and timely processing of specimens.
Performs specimen processing
Trouble-shoots minor equipment issues.
Stocks, rotates, and requests phlebotomy supplies on a regular basis to ensure proper availability.
Greets patients, performs check-in process, and responds to questions and patient needs.
Evaluates patient orders for completeness and follows up as needed.
Schedules, orders, and releases patients in electronic medical record.
Maintains safety, education, and competency requirements.
Performs various clerical duties.
