Responsibilities + Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques. + Work with pediatric patients, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures. + Conduct difficult blood draws in medical office buildings. + Communicate and enforce compliance and safety standards. + Provide orientation and training to patient service technicians. Essential Skills + Proficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture. + Experience with neonatal and pediatric blood draws. + At least six months to one year of experience in acute or sub-acute settings. + Ability to draw 45-55 patients within an 8-hour shift in outpatient settings. + Ability to draw 20-30 patients within an 8-hour shift in inpatient settings. + Excellent attendance and behavior record. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma. + CPT 1 License. + Experience with a lab system, such as Cerner. + Strong customer service skills. + Experience in hospital settings is a plus. + Able to travel to various Medical Office Building labs throughout South OC. Work Environment This is a high-volume role primarily working in Medical Office Buildings (clinics). Once permanent, you will work in the main lab in a hospital setting. Flexibility in shifts and hours is required, and the ability to travel to different locations is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
