The Contractor will be required to perform basic blood draws for inmates, spin down blood, prepare and package specimens for shipping, and deliver subject shipping containers to the FCI front lobby for shipment. The Contractor shall be required to draw blood in open, semi-open and locked units, which will require direct contact with inmates. The Contractor shall be responsible for keeping the lab neatly organized, maintaining the needle/syringe inventory, properly documenting lab request logs, completing related paperwork and filing, and conducting routine equipment checks. The contractor will be required to collect data relating to laboratory efforts (usage, types of labs studies, prompt receipt of orders and timely return of results by our contract labs, etc.).
