Responsibilities
Gathers specimens, samples, or supplies and makes basic preparations in a clinical lab environment.
Uses various venipuncture methods to collect patient blood samples and transports samples to the lab.
Evaluates positive patient identification reducing pre-analytical error and/or adverse patient outcome.
Tracks progress on samples and work orders and provides updates on results to patient areas.
Cleans and performs routine maintenance on work areas and equipment and documents equipment performance accurately.

Education
Minimum : Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Preferred : Hospital phlebotomy experience.

How you will contribute:
* You will greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.

Position Overview
The Phlebotomist/Courier transports laboratory specimens to and from the clinic site and Singing River Health System in accordance with departmental and System procedures and guidelines. He/She verifies all orders, procedures, and specimens according to current procedures. The Phlebotomist/Courier practices safe driving habits and follows all safety guidelines. Pride Health is hiring Float - Phlebotomist to support our client's team in Birmingham, Hoover, Tuscaloosa (Travel Across All 3 Areas). This is a full-time, 13-weeks contract.
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to support multiple Patient Service Centers across Birmingham, Hoover, and Tuscaloosa. This is a 100% travel-based role, requiring daily movement between various sites to assist with high-volume patient flow. The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and able to deliver quality patient care in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform 35-40 blood draws daily with accuracy and professionalism
· Process blood, urine, and other specimens
· Deliver excellent customer service in high-volume patient service centers
· Maintain specimen integrity, accurate labeling, and compliance with safety standards
· Work both independently and in team settings depending on site needs
· Stand for most of the workday and adapt to fast-paced environments
· Travel daily within the Birmingham-Hoover-Tuscaloosa region
· Collaborate with internal staff, team leads, and external patients
Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 years of phlebotomy experience (required; less than 1 years is not eligible)
· High school diploma or GED
· Strong phlebotomy skills, including comfort with difficult draws
· Ability to work independently in a small office environment

· Pay Range: $17 - $19 hourly
· Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
