We are seeking experienced Phlebotomist II - Float professionals to provide coverage across multiple patient service locations throughout Southeast Wisconsin. This role requires flexibility, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (approximately 40-60 draws per day)
Process and centrifuge specimens according to standard procedures
Distribute specimen collection kits and provide patient instructions
Perform heel sticks as required
Collect payments when applicable
Support biometric screenings as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety and compliance protocols
Float between Patient Service Centers (PSC) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) sites
Work independently at certain locations as required
Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license

This is a part-time, 23 hours per week, phlebotomy position located at a client site in Glenview.
Must be able to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8am - 4pm.

Location: 15 S McHenry Rd. Buffalo Grove, IL.
Full Time: 36 hours/ week
Hours: Monday-Friday (6:30am - 5pm), rotating weekends (8am - 12pm)
Required Travel: Float to all 4 ICC Labs
What you will do:
Reporting to the ICC Lab Manager, the ICC Lab Specialist performs a variety of pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical functions in the laboratory. This includes key laboratory duties such as providing customer service support including outpatient registration and order entry, completion of medical necessity at point of service, phlebotomy, specimen processing and point of care testing (POCT).
What you will need:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Some college level courses preferred.
Certification: Minimum one-year phlebotomy experience with all age groups required or certification from an approved school of phlebotomy.
Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in direct customer service preferred.

Job Requirements:

Description
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week phlebotomy float position. Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm and two weekends per month. Flexibility with hours is needed for clients who may start earlier or stay later than the posted hours. Must be comfortable driving to client sites in the Buffalo Grove area and the surrounding suburbs. Base hourly rate includes float differential compensation.

Responsibilities:
* Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards.
* Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
* Identifies need for patient medical assistance and call code as appropriate.
* Reviews/Records refrigerator temperature(s) and QC/QA records. Areas of concern are recorded through the Corrective Action Log and reported to maintenance for repair. Findings are reported to supervisor or manager.
* Use manual requisitions and labels specimens appropriately.
* Label and process specimens according to establishes protocols and policies.
* Must effectively procure blood specimens from infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair bound patients.
* Must demonstrate competency for age related responsibilities.

Follows all DOT guidelines when operating full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
