This Phlebotomist I will be responsible for: * Completes order entry of tests into the LIS. Gathers and documents necessary clinical information. Refers questions regarding information to appropriate clinician. * Selects appropriate venous puncture site based on knowledge of pathophysiology. Performs phlebotomy for collection of blood for clinical and research testing. * Monitors individuals to ensure comfort, safety and adequate blood flow. Monitors individuals for adverse reactions. * Selects and prepares collection tubes/containers, paperwork, labels and forms. Has knowledge of testing requirements for clinical tests including special handling requirements. * Monitors and stock supplies.
