REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
The position requires a high school diploma or educational equivalent and two (1) year of experience in phlebotomy in a medical practice preferred.
Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday) or otherwise as assigned. Occasional overtime may be required. The position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, and reaching. The incumbent may operate any or all of the following standard office equipment including but not limited to multi-line telephone system, postage mater, facsimile machines, calculator, photocopy machine, computer/printer, and coffee maker. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

As a Bloodmobile Phlebotomist, you will travel to various mobile blood drives to collect blood and blood products, ensuring donor safety, quality standards, and exceptional service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture to collect whole blood safely and efficiently.
Operate and maintain phlebotomy and collection equipment in accordance with Lifeline Blood Services policies and FDA/AABB standards.
Provide outstanding customer service to donors, creating a positive and comfortable donation experience.
Assist with loading, unloading, and setup of mobile blood drives, including preparing donor areas and equipment.
Accurately label, handle, and document blood products following established protocols.
Properly verify identify donor name and date of birth for barcode assignment.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure successful completion of each mobile blood drive.
Monitor donors for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care as needed.
Performs donor registration with demographic information documented.
Performs mini-physical including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and finger stick.
Evaluates donor medical questionnaire.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment in the bloodmobile and at donor sites.
Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including travel and weekend, evening or holiday shifts.
The training period will be 8-12 weeks.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; medical or phlebotomy training preferred.
Previous phlebotomy or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to mobile setup.
Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
