Scheduled Hours 40 Functions as a Phlebotomist and Patient Service Representative at 4444 Forest Park Ave. Requires expertise in blood drawing procedures in an outpatient laboratory environment. Serves as a liaison between all stakeholders and advocates for the patients' needs. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs phlebotomy procedure by identifying patient, gathers necessary supplies, verifies orders/tube labels, communicates with patient by describing steps of the procedure, cleans venipuncture site, utilizes personal protective equipment and obtains blood samples in a manner intended to limit patient discomfort. * Verifies both written and electronic lab orders and releases orders for specimen collection.
