Roles and Responsibilities: * Performs proper venipuncture and post care of phlebotomy site along with labeling each specimen with 2 forms of ID with zero labeling errors. * Accurate patient registration, requisitioning, and operational fluency in Epic. * Proper labeling, processing and preparation of patient specimens for laboratory testing. * Complete specimen batches in a timely manner for courier pickup or send specimens through the tube system properly. * Communicate outpatient needs for adequate inventory and is proficient with system reporting requests. * Completing all documentation requirements including outpatient daily, weekly and monthly checklists. * Follow organizational policies and maintain a compliant environment including adherence to all laboratory procedures, HIPPAA standards, infection control and safety guidelines. * Participates in quality assurance programs and maintains all requirements for departmental work flow. * Maintains educational requirements, outpatient in services and assigned training as it relates to outpatient lab workflows. * Is flexible and willing to make changes for the benefit of the team.
