Outpatient Phlebotomy Technician - Float -Position Summary
The Outpatient Phlebotomy Technician - Float -interacts with patients and other health-care providers to collect, transport and/or process blood and other body fluids from a full spectrum of the patient population. He/she performs EKG procedures in conjunction with the Department of Cardiology. He/she participates in educational and training activities and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non–routine technical functions.
*This is a float position that will support all of our Outreach Lab locations in MD/DE

Education
+ Successful completion of an approved training program consisting of both lectures and practical application in phlebotomy or comparable education or experience.
+ Will be trained in house to perform EKG functions.
Experience
+ One year’s experience performing similar duties preferred.
+ Should have good typing skills.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
A. Performs, with proficiency, medical laboratory tests, procedures and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
