Eileen C. McDonnell has been chairman and chief executive officer since July 2013. She was appointed chief executive officer in 2011 and president in 2010, after serving as chief marketing officer since 2008. Before joining Penn Mutual, she was president of New England Financial, a wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife, and senior vice president of the Guardian Life Insurance Company. Ms. McDonnell is a former member of the Master of Science in Management faculty at The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa., where she held the newly endowed chair for Women and Financial Services and is the author of “Marketing Financial Services to Women.” Ms. McDonnell serves on the Board of Managers of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Penn Mutual. Ms. McDonnell serves on the board of the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania and the board of Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS). In 2016, she was named to the Drexel LeBow Center for Corporate Governance Advisory Board. A graduate of Molloy College, Rockville Centre, N.Y., Ms. McDonnell majored in mathematics and computer science, and received an honorary doctor of laws (LL.D.) degree in 2011. She earned her MBA in finance and investments from Adelphi University, Garden City, N.Y. and was recognized in 2013 for ‘Outstanding Service” to the university.

Walter White is president and CEO of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life). Prior to assuming his position as CEO, White served as a chief administrative officer, leading Operations, IT, Compliance, Suitability, and the Central Project Office. Before joining Allianz Life in 2009, White was president of Woodbury Financial Services, a securities broker/dealer, and led the formation of the company after Hartford Life purchased Fortis Financial Group in 2001. He earned his BA in history from Yale University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designations.
