2003

2003 – AMP closed Life Companies to new business and demerged them as HHG with Henderson Investors.

2004

2004 – Resolution Life Group Ltd acquired UK Life operations of Royal & Sun Alliance.

2005

The company issued first bonus share on July 1, 2003 and signed agreement with CDBL on December 22, 2004. It started de-mat settlement on January 15, 2005.

2005 – Britannic Group acquired Century Group.

2006

2006 – Resolution PLC acquired Abbey National plc’s Life businesses.

By 2006 Alba Life Limited included policies from Crusader Insurance, Foreman & Staff Mutual Benefit Society, FS Assurance Limited, LAS Investment Assurance (LASIA), LAS Pensions Management (LASPEN) and (Britannia) Life Association of Scotland

2008

2008 – Pearl Group Ltd acquired Resolution PLC and sold open business of Scottish Mutual Assurance Ltd & Scottish Provident Ltd.

2009

2009 – Liberty Acquisition Holdings (International) acquired Pearl Group Ltd.

2010

2010 – Pearl Group changed its name to Phoenix Group Holdings.

2012

A National Provident Life Limited policy that was transferred to Phoenix Life Limited in March 2012

2015

A National Provident Life Limited policy that was transferred to Phoenix Life Assurance Limited in June 2015

2018

In 2018, the insurance companies are renamed under a unified Nassau brand and Nassau Life and Annuity Company becomes the flagship.

2018 – Phoenix Group acquired Standard Life Assurance Limited and begins a strategic partnership with Standard Life Aberdeen PLC.

2021

Acquired by AmeriLife in 2021, Saybrus continues to represent Nassau products.

2022
