1988

The 1988 Phoenix bond election, which authorized the issuance of more than $1 billion in bonds, is one of the largest general-purpose municipal bond elections ever.

1990

The latest addition to the facility came in 1990 with the opening of the Barry Goldwater Terminal 4.

1991

Phoenix received the distinguished Public Enterprise Award in 1991, the highest honor bestowed upon a city, in the annual Technology Achievement Awards competition sponsored by Public Technology Inc.

1993

In addition to its four All-America City titles, Phoenix won the 1993 Carl Bertelsmann Prize, a prestigious international competition that recognized the best-run city government in the world.

Building of the 20-story Phoenix City Hall, which opened in 1993 and now houses about 1,300 city employees.

1994

City Manager Frank Fairbanks was named 1994 Municipal Leader of the Year by the American City and County Magazine.

Phoenix won top national honors in 1994 from the National Association of Town Watch for its National Night Out activities.

More than two decades ago, in 1994, Adolf Merckle founded the PHOENIX group; the company’s beginnings date back more than one hundred years.

1995

Opening of the Central Library in 1995.

1996

Expansion of the Phoenix Art Museum in 1996.

1999

In 1999 Comifar takes the control of Spem of Segrate, franchising model company.

2003

The contract for the acquisition of Medifarm Velebit, the fourth largest pharmaceutical wholesaler, is also signed at the end of December 2003.

2004

As a part of the merger, the two companies acquired , Farmacija and Medifarm-Velebit, are renamed into PHOENIX Farmacija on 1 November 2004.

2005

Italy Farmaceutica Bolognese (Emilia Romagna) merged in Comifar Distribuzione, after a first acquisition of 40% in 2005.

2006

Founded in 2006, Phoenix Services was started by two industry titans dedicated to improving customer satisfaction by finding a better way.

2012

Rating In summer 2012, rating agencies Fitch and Standard & Poor’s upgraded the bond rating by two notches to “BB”.

2013

Germany PHOENIX awarded for "Best pharmacy partner 2013."

2018

In 2018, the insurance companies are renamed under a unified Nassau brand and Nassau Life and Annuity Company becomes the flagship.

2020

2021

Acquired by AmeriLife in 2021, Saybrus continues to represent Nassau products.
