SUMMARY: The Director of State & Federal Programs provides strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of all federal and state grant programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Arizona Department of Education (ADE) requirements, and aligns grant initiatives with PXU's board goals and instructional priorities. The Director collaborates across all departments to maximize student achievement, equity, and operational effectiveness by coordinating intentional professional development funding allocations, implementation, and reporting compliance in alignment with the district's identified goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and monitor federal and state grant initiatives (including Title I, 11, VI, ESSER, JOM, N&D, PSPs), planning and implementing strategies for continuous instructional improvement, student achievement, and compliance with District, state, and federal policies.
Support campuses in developing and executing Integrated Action Plans (IAPs) and school improvement strategies (CSI/TSI), using quarterly data analysis to inform interventions for underperforming schools.
Coordinate and deliver staff training for curriculum, instruction, and federal program requirements to build capacity and ensure compliance.
Design and implement evaluation methodologies to measure the impact of grant-funded programs on student learning and report outcomes to ADE and internal stakeholders.
Manage and monitor grant budgets, allocations, and expenditures in compliance with USFR, EDGAR, and ADE guidelines; oversee audit preparation and cycle monitoring.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (IDEA, GEPA, EDGAR) through documentation, reporting, and timely submissions.
Compile and analyze data from multiple sources to inform decision-making, compliance, and program improvement.
Represent the District in matters pertaining to state and federal grant funds with ADE, auditors, and other agencies; lead consultations and support for private school partners (PSPs).
Provide leadership for grant writing, fiscal planning, and program adjustments based on District needs and legislative changes.
Facilitate regular meetings with finance, grants, and program managers; maintain Federal Programs SharePoint site and ensure timely communication.
Supervise federal programs staff, including admin assistants, grants managers, and PSP program managers; collaborate with Finance, Assessment & Accountability, CTE, ESS, ELL, and Student Learning teams.
Provide in-service education and guidance to administrators on state and federal mandates, District policies, and compliance requirements.
Complete other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in education, curriculum/instruction, educational leadership, public administration, or a related field, preferred.
Arizona Administrative Certificate, preferred.
Minimum of three years teaching experience in K-12 schools (secondary urban setting preferred).
Minimum of two years administrative or leadership experience at the school or district level, preferably in curriculum, instruction, or federal/state programs.
Experience in grant management, budgeting/fiscal oversight, and supervision of staff.
Knowledge of state and federal grant management rules and regulations, District policies and state statutes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with District leadership, state and federal grant administrators, Department of Education grant managers and other community
License and Certification Requirements:
A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required.

Job Description/Summary:
The Practicum and Internship Coordinator is a full-time faculty member who serves a critical role in supporting the success of Sonoran University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MSCMHC) degree program.
This role ensures high-quality training that aligns with current CACREP standards, ACA/AMHCA ethical codes, and applicable state licensing board requirements. The incumbent will report to and work closely with the MSCMHC Program Director and will collaborate with the dean of the School of Mental Health, program faculty, site supervisors, students, and other stakeholders. The role is responsible for all administrative functions related to the practicum and internship including but not limited to facilitating the twice-yearly (Fall and Spring) on-campus 2-day in-person student residency , training and supporting site supervisors, delivering weekly group and/or individual supervision, evaluating student competencies, and upholding program gatekeeping responsibilities to promote client welfare and student professional development. They also contribute to improving educational outcomes, fostering student success, and facilitating student retention and persistence by creating a high quality, positive, and supportive educational and work environment.
As faculty, the incumbent will facilitate learning for Sonoran University's online MSCMHC students through timely and effective instruction, assessment, and communications and will be responsible for improving educational effectiveness, and supporting programmatic and course curricula, including alignment with the 2024 CACREP standards. Faculty are assigned to develop and instruct courses aligned with their expertise using Canvas, Sonoran University's online Learning Management System (LMS).
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with CACREP practicum and internship standards along with strong teaching experience and expertise in, and passion for clinical mental health counseling. They will have prior online classroom experience and outstanding communication and organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate with students and team members and cultivate relationships with external stakeholders. Responsibilities of this position include ensuring compliance with CACREP's clinical training standards, developing and teaching courses as assigned, delivering current and relevant content, and demonstrating student learning. The incumbent will be an active member of the Sonoran University community promoting its mission, vision, and core values and will adhere to high ethical and professional standards.
Primary Coordinator Responsibilities:
Coordination and Administration
Overseeing all aspects of practicum and internship placements, including program-appropriate audio/video recordings and/or live supervision of students' interactions with clients.
Vetting and approving clinical sites to ensure they align with program requirements and CACREP standards.
Recruiting and maintaining a robust network of clinical sites and community partners
Ensuring all required documentation for students, sites, and supervisors is completed, filed, and securely stored (e.g., liability insurance, background checks, supervision contracts, evaluation forms, hours logs).
Matching students with appropriate supervisors and sites.
Developing and maintaining the program's practicum and internship manual and ensuring its adherence to ethical codes, accreditation standards, and relevant legislation.
Collaborating with other program faculty and administration on student issues, administrative concerns, and overall program operations.
Other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Supervision and Student Support
Serving as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, site supervisors, and administrators regarding placement matters.
Providing supervision to practicum and internship students or ensuring they are appropriately supervised by qualified individuals (site supervisors and/or student supervisors under faculty supervision).
Advising and mentoring students on clinical readiness, site expectations, and professional development.
Conducting formal and informal evaluations of students' counseling performance and ability to apply knowledge.
Assessing student knowledge, skills, and professional dispositions for the purpose of retention, remediation, and dismissal.
Program Evaluation and Development
Responding to inquiries regarding practicum and internship from both internal and external stakeholders.
Overseeing ongoing CACREP assessments, curricular evaluations, and program improvement efforts, including collecting data from students, graduates, and site supervisors.
Providing orientation, assistance, consultation, and professional development opportunities for site supervisors.
Assisting with the writing and compilation of accreditation documents and reports related to clinical field placement.
Primary Faculty Responsibilities:
Participating in clinical and/or didactic instruction in the School of Mental Health as assigned.
Participating in the development of and/or updates to courses as assigned.
Delivering expert knowledge in a specific area of content through assigned courses.
Ensuring course content remains current, accurate, and relevant.
Providing responses to student inquiries within 24 hours.
Initiating, facilitating, interacting, and moderating online classroom forums.
Engaging in the online course portal a minimum of four (4) times per week.
Hosting a minimum of one (1) hour of virtual office hours per week per course section.
Hosting a minimum of one (1) hour synchronous live session per week per course.
Teaching assigned courses in accordance with current syllabi and learning outcomes.
With approval of the Program Director and/or Dean, updating course content appropriately.
Using innovative teaching and learning strategies and methods.
Conducting regular assessment of students' knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
Continuously improving teaching and learning based on assessment results and implementation of andragogical best practices.
Submitting feedback and student grades in a timely manner.
Actively participating in scholarly endeavors.
Serving as a mentor and role model to students.
Working collaboratively as part of the academic team and college community.
Actively participating in department, division, and/or campus meetings as well as other service opportunities.
Keeping abreast of developments in one's own field by reading current literature, engaging colleagues, participating in professional organizations, tradeshows, and/or conferences.
Requirements:
A doctoral degree in counselor education is required; preferably with an emphasis or focus on clinical mental health counseling, and preferably from a CACREP-accredited program.
Candidates will also be considered if they:
Have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a
counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013;
OR
Have been employed as a full-time doctoral-level faculty member in a CORE-accredited
master's program prior to July 1, 2017;
OR
Have graduated from a rehabilitation doctoral program prior to January 1, 2018.
At least three years of counseling practice.
Licensed or license eligible in the state of Arizona as an LPC within a year.
Demonstrated knowledge of mental health counseling academic, practicum, and internship requirements in compliance with CACREP standards.
Demonstrated knowledge of graduate pedagogy and familiarity with clinical mental health curricula, professional programs, and their standards, assessments, and evaluations.
Experience with online teaching and providing supervision of counseling students.
Education and experience demonstrating expert breadth of knowledge to effectively teach in an evidence-based clinical mental health counseling program.

The Medicinary Assistant 1 supports or directly responsible for the following:
Proactively greet and welcome every customer that visits Sonoran University Medicinary and create a welcoming environment to attract new and existing customers.
Ability to genuinely interact with customers in-person, online, or over the phone to help them choose the right product or find what is on their treatment sheet.
Drive for results to achieve and exceed store and productivity goals.
Fulfill online orders timely and accurately in compliance with company guidelines.
Boost product knowledge by learning the features, advantages and benefits.
Support store management in the opening, closing and operating of a retail store. This includes cash handling, inventory count and deposits, and maintaining store appearance.
Correspond with physicians and patients upon receipt of a new prescription.
Validate prescriptions received: check that the required information is on prescription sheet, check to make sure that medicines requested are available
Accurately fill all order requests in a timely manner, this includes botanical tinctures, homeopathic medicine, Chinese herbal products and bulk herbs as prescribed
Establish and maintain customer profiles, including history of supplement purchases and prescriptions filled
When necessary, escalate issues through appropriate channels to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution to the customer and Sonoran University Medicinary
Maintain required certification and competencies of HIPAA, OSHA, FERPA, etc.
Ensure proper and careful storage of patient information. Properly dispose of trash containing personal information to maintain HIPAA compliance
Stocking and organizing of all products, ensuring FIFO, keeping storeroom organized and clean. Organize storeroom by brands and price products and check expiration dates of products during daily procedures of re-stocking, cleaning and maintaining merchandise displays
Assist in performing complete inventories semi-annually

Experience Required

The College of Naturopathic Medicine at Sonoran University of Health Sciences is seeking applications for our Teaching Assistant pool to assist faculty in a variety of courses in the Naturopathic Medicine degree program. Teaching Assistants help faculty oversee the delivery of instruction and assessment for both courses and labs. Teaching Assistants also provide students with feedback and answer student questions. Teaching Assistants do not need extensive teaching experience but are lifelong learners, proven teachers or mentors, or have a passion for helping support student learning and success. Teaching Assistants are assigned courses aligned with their expertise that are taught using Canvas, Sonoran's online Learning Management System (LMS). Teaching Assistants are responsible for interacting with students within that LMS.
Responsibilities include:
Be familiar with all course content.
Equip students with the required knowledge and skills to be successful in the assigned course and to prepare students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
Assist with grading assignments and facilitating classroom discussions.
Provide timely response to communications by faculty, students, and program leadership, preferably within 24-hours.
Serve as a positive role model to students.
Specific responsibilities to the course as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or Doctorate in health sciences from an accredited institution. Teaching Assistants will be matched to courses in need of support by degree earned.
Related experience in education or as a teaching assistant is preferred.

Job Description/Summary:
The Academic Advisor provides academic advising to students for all institutional degree programs. This position is a key contributor to increasing student retention and graduation by supporting Sonoran students in degree completion.
This dynamic individual will work directly with the other Academic Advisors under the leadership of the University Registrar in the areas of: special schedule advising; maintaining advising records and Student Information System (SIS) data integrity; building personalized relationships with both online and on-ground students, communicate with students regarding academic policies, and their academic progress; ensure the completeness, accuracy and security of student transcripts and pertinent records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
The Academic Advisor supports or directly responsible for the following:
Serve as the primary guide to both online and ground students to ensure that students stay on track to meet their educational goals and assist students in understanding and completing degree requirements.
Provide one-on-one advising to students on alternative tracks, checking for pre-requisites and ensuring proper registration in required classes for their Program of Study (POS).

Skilled at connecting and building rapport with students from diverse backgrounds

Work Schedule

SUMMARY:
The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) is responsible for providing an appropriate program of therapy for youth with communication disorders. The SLPA will be responsible to the Director or Designee and to the assigned/supervising Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) may conduct the following tasks under the supervision of a licensed master's level Speech Language Pathologist and according to guidelines set by the state of Arizona.
Provides direct therapy for students identified by the supervising speech-language pathologist, following written therapy plans, individualized education programs, individual support plans, or protocols developed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
Conducts speech and language screenings without interpretation, using screening protocols specified by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
Documents student progress toward meeting established objectives as stated in the treatment plan and Individualized Education Program (IEP) without interpretation of the findings and report this information to the supervising speech-language pathologist.
Assists with informal documentation during a therapy session by collecting and tallying data as directed by the speech-language pathologist, preparing materials, and assisting with other clerical duties as specified by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
Acts as a second-language interpreter during assessments. (if appropriate)
Schedules activities and prepares records, graphs, or other displays of data.
Performs checks and maintenance of equipment.
Collaborates with the supervising speech-language pathologist in establishing appropriate therapy goals.
Assists with clerical duties and departmental operations such as scheduling activities as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
Participates with the supervising speech-language pathologist in research projects, public relations programs, and in-service trainings.
Participates in parent conferences/lEP meetings when a speech-language pathologist is present.
Signs and initials treatment/therapy notes for review and co-signature by the supervising speech language pathologist.
Maintains coordination between general curriculum areas and therapy activities, including preparation of materials for teachers and students when necessary.
Maintains accurate student records and keeps information secure and confidential.
Effectively utilizes district technologies appropriate to the position and assumes responsibility for attending district training needed to successfully perform designated responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
