RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
This is a temporary PRN position, working Saturday and Sunday shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(5%) MRI Department Support
Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Look for double feeds
• Folded corners that obscure content information
• Look for very light/dark threshold
• Look for barcode slip-sheets that did not get processed. This would indicate a merged documents of multiple files
• Convert scan documents/microfilm/microfiche to digital formats outlined in the Statement of Work
Essential Functions:
• Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging process
• Check physical documents for quality issues that may complicate the scan process.
• Prepare a wide array of document types and conditions for scanning.
• Index scanned images according to naming mechanisms outlined by the customer and/or RDIC leadership, along with additional post-imaging services.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

* Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable, and perform all type of terminations.
* Capable of working in Data Centers
* Shall be able to install ladder racking and seismic bracing both above and under raise floor.
* Basic understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
* Read and understand blueprints and design document
* Dress and furcate fiber trunks for splicing
* Maintaining orderly paperwork and running service
* Fusion Splice including Ribbon/Single OSP/ISP
* Install, connect, and decom network equipment
* Operate DSX 5000 tester/OTDR Tester
* Program testers
* Download test results to Linkware/Linkware Live
* Save test results, verify, and submit to customer
* Create mass labels and apply per Portmap
* Differentiate live cables from decom cable
* Copper testing and troubleshooting
* Conduct Service Swaps of live networking devices
* Understand "FIM" database and operate scanners
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
* Primarily walking, standing, and bending for extended periods with some sitting.
* Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, written, visual and listening skills.
* Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment as well as to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
* Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to pull cables.
* Ability to climb ladders and work on raised platforms.
