SENIOR PROJECT SURVEYOR / PROJECT SURVEYOR This position is for a full-time Licensed Land Surveyor in any of our office locations. Spicer Group is seeking a full-time Licensed Sr. Project Surveyor or Project Surveyor to join our Maumee, Ohio surveying operations. We are seeking a highly motivated individual capable of performing a variety of surveying tasks, including but not limited to: site and highway construction layout, ODOT design surveys, control surveys, precision industrial surveying, ALTA and topographic surveys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Capable of working in the field and in the office using the latest in robotic, GPS and laser scanning hardware and software
Works as a member of a survey crew assisting the Crew Chief when performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public, private, and governmental clients
Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, taking field notes, data collection, performing calculations, and working with staff on various projects
Works on office tasks, including LiDAR processing, GPS/Total Station data processing, client deliverables, including reports, maps, quality checking
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions; able to perform complex mathematical computations, including least squares adjustments and data analysis
Performs physically demanding work in all types of weather and terrain
Knowledgeable of and/or experienced in the following:
Traffic control and safety procedures for a variety of surveying and construction operations
Reading and interpreting construction plans
Developing grade sheets or staking files/CAD models to support construction projects
Principles of surveying and construction layout
Maintains professionalism on the job (e.g. attire, honesty, and respect for personal property)
Must be able to travel locally and nationally based on project demands, with approximately 30% travel
Per diem and lodging is provided for all travel assignments

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field
Experience working on ODOT projects not required, but favorable
5+ years of experience in surveying
Licensed professional surveyor or ability to become licensed per new licensing guidelines

EDG seeks a Project Surveyor to work in the office preparing detailed survey documents including topographical studies, ALTA's, boundary descriptions, easements and construction document components. May go in the field from time to time as needed to assist the survey crew or review completed drawings. Prepare staking plans and coordinate schedules for survey crews. Research courthouse documents, final distribution of documents and possibly delivery of documents as necessary. Visit sites as required, may interact directly with clients, contractors or regulatory agencies. Respond to incoming client business development opportunities and work with teams to further develop the opportunity and enhance the client relationship.
Bachelor's degree in surveying and 2+ years' experience is required, with appropriate progress toward achieving P.S. status preferred.

Senior Project Surveyor

Senior Project Surveyor & Phase Manager - Energy Services Schneider Geomatics is currently looking to add a Senior Project Surveyor & Phase Manager to our Energy Services team. This position will report to our office located in Harrison, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
This position requires an understanding of advanced land surveying practices and procedures, including national and state “rules” establishing standards of practice for land surveyors.
5 years minimum project surveyor experience.
Experience in basic project management related tasks is a plus.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and TBC software.
The ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, deeds, easements, and utility construction plans is required.
Basic experience using GIS platforms and Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and internet search engines.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, speak persuasively and develop rapport internally and externally.
Ability to work independently.
Two or Four-year degree, preferred.
The ability to obtain licensure in Indiana, Kentucky, and/or Ohio is a plus.
Essential Duties Include:
Work with Project Manager and Team Leaders to evaluate scope of work, schedule, budget, project instructions and responsibilities.
Coordinate daily activities of at least one field crew.
Drafting of easements and plats using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Use Excel and survey programs to process, verify data, and run reports.
Review Research deeds and maps, perform boundary analysis, and determinations.
Organize/maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in a logical & well-structured manner.
Prior to initiation of work - Draft Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for projects for Project Manager Review.
Apply appropriate boundary law principles and regulatory standards to accurately prepare boundary survey drawings.
Builds strong working relationships with team members and clients.
Maintains technical competence through continuing education and by sharing CAD skills and professional knowledge.
