Job duties/responsibilities
Performs diagnostic testing on patients including, but not limited to fluorescein angiography, ICG angiography, OCT, OCTA, fundus photography, FAF, montage imaging, external photos, and ultrasonography (Posterior and anterior B-scans), PDT, and visual field testing.
Able to perform peripheral OCT's on specified areas of the retina.
Able to operate different Fundus Cameras; Topcon, Zeiss, Optos, and Heidelberg.
Understanding doctors' preferences and best cameras to use based on diagnosis.
Knowledge of basic retinal disease process and understanding of how best to photograph each differently. Must be able to recognize the difference between healthy and concerning areas in order to identify where to photograph.
Perform IV access
Basic IT skills to allow for trouble shooting problems with photography equipment
Able to train technicians to perform OCT
Minimum Requirements
Must be punctual and professional and carry a professional attitude
Willingness to travel between locations
Willingness to learn and adapt.
Working knowledge of the eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
A good working knowledge of Windows/PC computers and software.
