    Primary Purpose To enhance The Broadside news organization content by creating original high-quality digital images for The Broadside's website, social media platforms and in special print editions. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Complete 2-3 photo assignments for accompanying stories and one standalone photo gallery, or some combination of assignments and galleries of a similar amount per week for The Broadside's website, social media channels and occasional print editions; assignments include primarily high-quality digital photographs and occasional video. Work collaboratively with student reporters to ensure visual content is created for accompanying stories. Maintain flexibility to accommodate various schedules, appointments and other time constraints that come up through the course of reporting for an assignment. Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position. Be an advocate for the role and efforts of The Broadside on and off campus and display professional and respectful conduct when acting as a representative of the publication. Minimum Requirements Currently enrolled at Central Oregon Community College in at least 6 credits and registered for J-215: Publications Lab (1 credit) each quarter while employed with The Broadside. Experience with retouch, resize and enhance images as needed using Photoshop or other photography software. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience with or training on Google Sheets for content planning. Experience with or training on AP Style as it applies to journalistic writing and publication. Preferred Qualifications Access to reliable transportation to commute to and from assignments that may take place on or off campus or at campuses in Bend, Prineville, Madras or Redmond. Current demonstrated experience with AP Style as it applies to journalistic writing and publication. Experience with graphic design. Experience with WordPress content management system.

This position works closely with academic faculty and house staff in the performance of ophthalmic photographic patient procedures relating to the clinical teaching and research needs of the Department of Ophthalmology. This position is also responsible for evaluating Photography processes and policies and making recommendations to ensure program provides state of the art and quality care and service to patients and providers. This is a full time, on-site position. Function/Duties of Position Employee works with all age groups and duties are in support of Service Excellence and include the following: Patient Ophthalmic Imaging including Fundus photography, Fluorescein angiography, ICG angiography, OCT-A, OCT, anterior segment OCT, slit lamp photography, gonio photography, clinical trials imaging and certifications. Informs patients on procedure processes and proper positioning. Performs miscellaneous patient photography and additional duties assigned by manager, external photography, photography in the operating room- EUA's- performing Bioptigen OCT's and Retcam photography and angiography. Performs venipuncture in correlation with angiography. Operates and maintains a full range of complex ophthalmic and standard photographic instruments. Documents procedures in EPIC and verifies image publication to PACS. Travels to satellite clinics to perform ophthalmic imaging procedures. Teaches residents in the areas of ophthalmic photography. Trains staff and faculty members on new developments and techniques in ophthalmic imaging. Travels to satellite clinic to perform ophthalmic photographic procedures. Keeps abreast of current ophthalmic photography techniques, processes and equipment to ensure program is current and state of the art. Assists Ophthalmology faculty, residents and fellows in collecting images for research and presentations. Required Qualifications Education/Experience Five years' experience performing Ophthalmic Imaging, CRA preferred but not required; OR A Bachelor's degree in Photography/Ophthalmic Imaging or related health care field plus 1-year experience or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience along with considerable knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in ophthalmic imaging; OR An Associate's degree in Photography/ Ophthalmic Imaging or related health care field plus three years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience along with considerable knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in ophthalmic imaging. Certifications: BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA), provider level required at time of hire. Initial certification is the responsibility of the employee.
