Responsibilities
Spencer's is seeking an experienced Freelance Photographer with a strong creative edge and a deep understanding of the brand's bold, alternative aesthetic. This role requires someone who excels in capturing expressive, attitude-driven imagery, both on model and still product, and who can deliver high quality visuals from concept through final delivery. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and proactively solve creative challenges.
Plan, produce, and execute complete photo shoots from pre-production through final file delivery.
Source and book on-brand, alternative style models through an existing talent pool or network when needed.
Create compelling imagery for Spencer's marketing materials, e-commerce, social media, in-store signage, and other brand collateral.
Uphold and reinforce Spencer's visual identity through consistent, high-quality photography.
Set up and manage all lighting for shoots (studio or location), including strobe, continuous, and daylight setups.
Determine optimal compositions, angles, and environments that align with brand style guidelines.
Direct models to capture dynamic, expressive, movement-forward shots with the attitude and edge reflective of Spencer's.
Collaborate with the Art Director, Marketing, and Studio teams to ensure brand consistency and smooth workflow.
Name, organize, process, retouch, and deliver files accurately and on schedule according to internal standards.

Qualifications
Must provide a portfolio showcasing alternative, expressive fashion/editorial work that aligns with Spencer's brand aesthetic. Current day rate is required for consideration.
Advanced technical understanding of digital photography, lighting, and image composition.
Proficiency with Capture One PRO, Photoshop, Lightroom, and general Mac-based workflows.
Strong experience with both studio and on-location shoots.
Demonstrated ability to shoot fashion, lifestyle, and editorial style content with an alternative or edgy aesthetic.
Proven ability to direct models, capturing attitude, movement, and personality.

Education and Experience
BS or AS in Commercial or Advertising Photography or related field preferred.
Five to eight or more years of professional photography experience in a commercial, fashion, or editorial capacity (or equivalent portfolio or work history).
Computer Skills
Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
Strong understanding of file types, color profiles, image sizing, and resolution for digital and print use.

About The Role:

We are hiring a Photographer to join the Collectors Vault team. As a member of the photography team, you will be responsible for photographing the inventory that will be listed for sale online. Your primary goal is to photograph and edit in a high-paced work environment while being accurate and efficient to produce high quality work to meet tight deadlines. You will work independently and interdependently with the rest of the team and surrounding departments such as Inventory, Editorial, and Sales & Revenue to ensure the operation is completed properly.
This role is based in New Castle, DE and reports to the General Manager. The schedule for this role will be Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday from 7am-5:30pm.
What You'll Do:
Photographing - Ensure all items are photographed and/or scanned using work instruction guide in priority order respective to the auction schedule. Taking proper care to ensure the integrity of all products - using gloves for jewelry, being careful when removing old documents, wiping down dust on frames, etc. Image files are to be coded by respective serial/ID number to ensure all items' images are uploaded and archived accurately.
Editing - Apply proper presets to all images to visually enhance image quality. Silhouette each background in Photoshop/Camera Raw and save all images as PSD and JPEG files.
Uploading - All images are to be uploaded onto the admin website in a specific order to be synonymous with alike items.
Archiving - All images (RAW and final) must be uploaded and archived in Google Drive for access to refer back if necessary. All final images will be saved onto your desktop and are to be archived to Google Drive once the auction has come to a close. All final images in Google Drive must be organized into the corresponding auction folder for our Creative and Content teams to use for promotions and social media.
Who You Are:
3+ years of photography experience.
2+ years of Photoshop, Camera Raw, Lightroom and/or Bridge experience.
Must be able to work with multiple photography brand equipment i.e. Nikon and Canon cameras.
Ability to learn and utilize other third party photography software.
Ability to work interdependently with team members and independently for individual work.
Excellent communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities of Newborn Photographers
* Photograph newborn babies and their families, capturing lifelong memories.
* Create a welcoming and positive customer experience.
* Meet photography sales goals.
* Provide warm, professional, and patient interaction.
* Collaborate effectively with team members.
* Comfortably and safely handle newborns.
* Maintain a passion for photography and excellent customer service.
Experience and Requirements for the Newborn Photographer
* Beginner to mid-level photography skills with basic computer knowledge.
* Preferred experience in sales and customer service with strong verbal communication.
* Ability to work independently in a hospital environment, perform moderate physical activity, and lift up to 50 pounds.
* Reliable transportation; work weekends and holidays.
* Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
* Pass background checks and health screenings; current vaccinations required (including COVID-19).
* Candidates must pass a 12-panel drug test, including THC.
