At Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), southwest of Salt Lake City Utah, SA-TECH supports the West Desert Test Center (WDTC), the nation's designated Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) for chemical and biological defense. The WDTC plans, conducts, evaluates, reports, and supports Chemical and Biological (CB) and non-CB testing efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD), other federal agencies, private industries, and foreign Governments (e.g., environmental assessment/impact evaluations, weapons and munitions demilitarization, chemical energetics/homemade explosive testing, unmanned systems testing, direct and indirect fire weapons testing, hazard assessments, and technical/logistical support of operations at DPG).
At DPG, SA-TECH is looking to hire a Photographer onto our team to support program efforts and contribute to success at this major DoD Test Facility.
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
Use high-speed camera systems, tracking telescope systems, and video systems.
Utilize math and experience in operating tracking telescopes, video systems, and fixed cameras to obtain data measurements and perform optical data reduction.
Use digital processing (motion/still), printing, still photography, videography and digital imaging techniques.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
Work is performed in an indoor industrial setting but field work outdoors under changing weather conditions may be required depending on the location of equipment.
May be required to lift and handle heavy items (50 lbs.).
May need to move equipment, scaffolding, and other items for photo shoots.
Stand/walk, climb, stoop, bend and push and pull for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks that require such protective gear.

Position Overview
The Student Photographer/Videographer works with University Unions staff to document and promote campus life and University Unions events through photography and video production. This position involves shooting and editing high-quality visual content for use across social media, digital signage, web, and marketing campaigns.

Job Description
The E-Commerce Photographer (PDP Photographer) is responsible for creating high-quality, on-brand product imagery for use across major retail and digital platforms, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, Dick's Sporting Goods (DSG), and the company's direct-to-consumer website. This role combines strong technical proficiency with a sharp creative eye to ensure every image communicates the product's features, quality, and brand aesthetic/lighting.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with both strobe and continuous lighting, understands e-commerce visual standards, and thrives in a fast-paced studio environment producing consistent, accurate, and visually compelling imagery.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, style, and execute high-quality product photography (PDP) for e-commerce and retail partners.
Manage all aspects of the shoot process - lighting setup, camera operation, file management, and post-production.
Maintain consistency across product categories and ensure all assets meet brand, retailer, and platform requirements (aspect ratio, background, resolution, etc.).
Collaborate closely with the photography manager, stylists, and retouchers to ensure accuracy, color fidelity, and visual appeal.
Capture both hero imagery and secondary PDP assets, including detail and lifestyle-in-context images where applicable.
Apply expert knowledge of strobe and continuous lighting to achieve clean, high-contrast, true-to-color images.
Work efficiently within studio scheduling and production goals while maintaining creative quality.
Keep studio equipment, lighting setups, and capture stations organized and in optimal working condition.
Participate in process improvements for workflow, file management, and visual standards documentation.
Qualifications
3-5 years of professional product photography experience, ideally in e-commerce or retail environments.
Strong technical understanding of strobe and continuous lighting setups, modifiers, and color control.
Proficient in Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom.
Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a high-volume studio.
Strong sense of visual consistency, composition, and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with creative, marketing, and production teams.
Experience shooting for large retailers such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, and DSG.
Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and color management workflows.
Experience with lifestyle photography or creative campaign imagery a plus.
Delivers consistent, accurate, and on-brand product imagery across all platforms.
Maintains a strong reputation for technical precision, efficiency, and dependability.
Partners seamlessly with studio leadership and cross-functional creative teams.

Purpose
The student photographer is responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality photographs for events, workshops, activities, marketing materials, and more for the Office of the Dean of Students. Photographers will gain valuable experience and enhance their portfolio while working on various projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Capture high-quality photographs of events, workshops, activities, marketing materials, and more as assigned by the communications and marketing manager and the social media coordinator and content specialist.
Technical setup for photoshoots and events (lighting, angles, lenses, tripods, and other equipment if necessary). The student photographer is required to use their personal camera equipment for this position.
Organize, edit, and submit photographs to the communications team.
Follow University photography guidelines to maintain consistency in visual content.
Interact with staff and students regarding photography needs and delivery of appropriate content.
Provide creative direction for photoshoots.
Must be approachable and confident while directing and engaging with event attendees to capture both candid moments and posed shots.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency with digital cameras.
A portfolio of work showcasing a range of styles and techniques.
Adobe Creative Suite fluency.
Ability to attend events, occasionally outside of regular work hours.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, receptiveness to feedback, and the ability to produce results with limited supervision.
