Completes massage therapy initial assessment for clients and families referred, creates a treatment plan, and implements the plan with consultation of the IDG. Provides massage therapy sessions to clients in accordance with plan of care. Sessions will be flexible according to the changing client needs of the moment. Demonstrates knowledge of massage therapy research, and uses best practices in clinical interventions. Incorporates the knowledge of the unique issues related to death, dying, grief and loss. Ability to recognize client/family strengths and weaknesses as well as their support systems. Maintains infection control procedures and reports suspected abuse/neglect. Completes documentation in a timely manner, neatly, using professional terminology. Maintains confidentiality about clients/families. Represents the hospice agency in a professional manner at all times. Is on time, neatly dressed, and organized. Completes other duties as required.
