Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
NBCOT certified upon hire, but renewal is optional going forward
Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)
Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Inpatient and Outpatient)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Senior Therapist, Clinic Supervisor, Therapy Manager, Therapy Director
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will help to ensure that REHAB patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB. You will provide support for the Therapy Department and assist with a variety of services with a commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive and innovative inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. Responsible for working with patients to provide therapy outlined in the individualized treatment plans developed by an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR).
Starting Wage: $30.16/hour.
The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification/Licensure:
Current State of Hawaii National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification as a COTA
Current BLS certification
Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.
Education:
Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited school
Skills/Experience:
Ability to safely and effectively manage patients' mobility.
Ability to clearly communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to safely provide care to patients.
