The Skilled Rehab and Home Health team at Good Samaritan Davenport seeks to hire a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The position is full time, 35-40 hours per week, M-F (weekdays/weekends/holidays can be flexible), covering the Davenport Skilled Nursing Facility and Davenport Home Health clients. Currently, we treat the following conditions: orthopedic, weakness, balance/falls/gait, cervical/back pain, general deconditioning, and other various conditions. We have 2 full time PTs and 2 full time PTAs as well. New grads welcomed! We are looking to hire a candidate who can compliment our team. Paid travel and mileage between home health patients.
Job Summary
Assists patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients'/residents'/clients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents/clients with physical, cognitive, developmental impairments, in line with related standard concepts, practices and procedures. The physical therapist assistant selects, implements, and makes modifications to therapeutic activities and interventions that are consistent with demonstrated competency levels, patient's/resident's/client's goals, and the requirements of the practice setting and/or state licensure. Contributes to this process by exchanging information with and providing documentation to the physical therapist about the patient's/resident's/client's responses to and communications during intervention. Responsible for being knowledgeable about the patient's/resident's/client's targeted physical therapy outcomes and for providing information and documentation related to outcome achievement. Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization. As needed, performs other related duties as requested.
Based on facility needs and assigned locations, may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long term care and home health care environments.
Qualifications
Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must also be a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice. Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. When applicable, may require valid driver's license.

Millennium Therapy is looking to add a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to our staff in New Hampton, IA and surround community. Millennium Therapy is a patient focused, therapist owned, and therapist managed company that operates throughout Iowa providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in various settings. The local home office provides quick support to our associates. Our therapy teams succeed through patient tailored treatments, flexible scheduling, and effective communication to meet the individualized goals of each patient.
PAY:
$23-$30 Negotiable

PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (PTA) QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an APTA accredited program and Professional Licensure in the state of hire or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Physical Therapy Assistant.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
Utilizes effective time management skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (PTA) REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) assist in the provision of screens, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment of caseload. Conducts resident screens (without interpretation) as directed by the supervising therapist.
Participates in the clinical team process.
Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff. Participates in clinical program development.
Collects assessment data, as part of the evaluation process, as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provides training to patients, residents, caregivers, and families according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising therapist. Prepares treatment materials and assists with other clerical duties as directed.
