The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA, OTA) in Home Health is responsible for providing occupational therapy to patients in their homes to restore them to their fullest physical ability. Observes, records, and reports to the supervising OT, the nurse supervisor, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition. Coordinates care with the other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.

Job Summary:
We seek a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team and work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will administer therapy treatments as outlined in the plan of care established by a Physical Therapist, ensuring the highest rehabilitation standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer therapy treatments according to the Physical Therapists plan of care.
Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide input for modifying and updating treatment goals.
Participate in discharge planning.
Educate physicians, patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Document treatment progress and patient information in a timely manner.
Use therapy devices and equipment for patient care.
Employ various stretching and massage techniques.
Sanitize and clean therapy areas and equipment.
Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, and completing forms.
Operate standard office equipment.
Answer phones and direct calls.
Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports.
Maintain continuing education requirements to keep a valid Washington State Physical Therapy Assistant license.
Use personal vehicle for company business (mileage reimbursement provided).

Compose progress notes and communicate patient changes.
Identify when treatment requires a Physical Therapists skills.
Adapt to changes in caseload, scheduling, and staffing.
