Under general supervision, works collaboratively to provide instruction in PHYSICAL EDUCATION, and related instruction for lower division students. (Classes covered in this category are YOGA, TENNIS, VOLLEYBALL, WEIGHT LIFTING and related community education courses.) 1. Design and implement instructional activities in PHYSICAL EDUCATION and related instruction in classroom and field settings, using sound instructional delivery techniques and at times which meet the needs of students and supporting agencies (e.g., on-line, day, evening, weekends) 2. Works with faculty colleagues to develop, implement, evaluate, and periodically review and revise the organizing framework, learning outcomes, and curriculum of the PHYSICAL EDUCATION subject area. 3. Evaluate student achievement of identified learning objectives and outcomes, assign grades according to policies 4. Provide for student evaluations of teaching and learning effectiveness. 5. Maintains professional competence and job qualifications. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of current issues and trends in the subject area. This role requires at least 2 years of experience in physical therapy, preferably in a hospital, rehab, or outpatient setting. Responsibilities include performing assessments, designing treatment plans, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The therapist may float to other units within scope. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Missed shifts must be made up. Onboarding and compliance take approximately 4-6 weeks. A voice screening and hiring manager interview are required.
