Responsibilities:
Assess and advise on each client's unique needs, taking into consideration their level of stress, physical condition, and medical history, and offer recommendations for types of massage and treatment
Keep track of client treatment records and plans and monitor improvement

Prepare the massage table and necessary products to apply to the client's skin
Actively participate in team meetings and case reviews with other providers
Qualifications:
Preference to candidates who have completed a massage therapy program

JOB SUMMARY

Position Summary:
Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
Utilizes physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
Observes and reports to the physical therapist and the Organization personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition.
Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into the patient's clinical record in prescribed time frames.
Participates in Organization Home Care Team Members meetings and Organization In-service Education Program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current CA Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or any accrediting body approved by the U.S. Office of Education
Experience Required: 2 years of physical therapy experience or combination of experience and education
Experience Preferred: 1 year of home health experience
Current CPR card for Healthcare Providers
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
Ability to travel in our San Francisco territory with no limitations
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides quality care to all residents.
