In this position with Presbyterian's Outpatient rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Outpatient rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient-focused. Responsibilities:
Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting
Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served
Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient
Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
Is a patient advocate.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.
New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor's degree required.
Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
NM License of Physical Therapy required.
BLS required at time of hire

Our Physicaltherapist work as a team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and abilities. In this position with Presbyterian's Acute care rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Acute care rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient-focused. Responsibilities:
Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting
Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served
Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient
Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
Is a patient advocate.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Less than one year of experience in physical therapy. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor's degree required.
Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
NM License of Physical Therapy required.
BLS required at time of hire.

Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance their physical function and promote recovery. PhysicalTherapistAssistants instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, monitor their progress, and provide feedback to ensure safe and effective participation.
Modalities and Physical Agents: PhysicalTherapistAssistants ensure the proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
