BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced PhysicalTherapistAssistant, PTA, for a full-time or part-time opportunity performing home health visits. This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in territories throughout Tysons/Great Falls, VA.
As a home care PhysicalTherapistAssistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed PhysicalTherapist.
Each PhysicalTherapistAssistant (PTA) must:
Have current licensure or certification in the state of VA
Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or

Join our Home Health team as a PhysicalTherapistAssistant to support our residents in all aspects of daily living, providing person-centered care to ensure we meet all of our resident's needs. **This is a 24 hour a week part-time position in our Home Health Department. Home Health experience is required**

Compensation: Starting at $32.00/hour based on experience
How you will make an impact
Providing a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs
Providing day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments to meet resident's needs in all settings across the Erickson Senior Living community continuum of care
Following Medicare, state and federal regulations, APTA, and company policies and procedures and ensure departmental understanding and compliance in the areas of care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, resident rights, customer service, and compliance, and other requirements as defined in the respective regulations.
Implementing residents' personal care plans, focusing on residents' strengths, preferences, and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging.
Working with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care.
What you will need
Minimum 1 years' experience in working with the older adult population related to the therapies is preferred.
Current CPR Certification.
Current state license (for the state in which the community provides service) in physical therapy, where applicable.

About the Position
Goodwin Rehabilitation is currently seeking a PRN PhysicalTherapistAssistant (PTA). In this position, you will work with our dynamic and passionate team. The PTA is a vital part of an interdisciplinary team that strives to ensure older adults can lives their best lives! Under the Plan of Care established by the evaluating PhysicalTherapist, renders Physical Therapy treatments to improve resident's functional abilities, safety level, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
Job Duties
Provides Physical Therapy treatments to overcome specific losses of function due to disease and injury, under a PhysicalTherapist's Plan of Care, and as dictated by the Commonwealth of Virginia Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Effectively communicates with the PhysicalTherapist to clarify the Plan of Care, relay resident's progress with treatment, report any adverse effects of treatment, report medical decline or inability to follow through with recommended treatments, and offers suggestions to alter and progress the Plan of Care based on knowledge and experience with that particular resident.
Documents treatments/services according to the Rehab Department's protocols and Medicare guidelines.
Coordinates resident's treatment with nursing staff, occupational and speech therapists.
