Responsibilities:
Assess and advise on each client's unique needs, taking into consideration their level of stress, physical condition, and medical history, and offer recommendations for types of massage and treatment
Keep track of client treatment records and plans and monitor improvement
Support a positive working environment for both clients and staff through relationship building and team development
Prepare the massage table and necessary products to apply to the client's skin
Actively participate in team meetings and case reviews with other providers
Qualifications:
Preference to candidates who have completed a massage therapy program
Must be excellent at communication and interpersonal relationships
Must have licensure that complies with state and local laws

Job Summary *Skilled Nursing Facility*
We are looking for a licensed OTA to join our growing team of health care professionals. Our focus is children from birth to 18 years old with an emphasis on children with conditions related to genetic and neurological disorders as well as developmental delays and problems caused by illnesses or disease. Wide variety of treatment areas including daycares, schools, office, PPEC, and client's homes. Also partnered with the Early Steps Program.
Responsibilities
Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
Assist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skills
Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
Attend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes
Qualifications
Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
Previous experience working in an occupational therapy setting desired
Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills
The ability to make decisions in a high-stress environment

Objectives:
Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
Utilizes physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
Observes and reports to the physical therapist and Apollo personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition.
Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into the patient's clinical record in prescribed time frames.
Participates in Apollo Home Care Team Members meetings and Apollo Inservice Education Program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
Current certification or license as required by state law.
Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
Ability to be able to travel to different patients' homes.
Discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Prior experience working in a home health setting is preferred, but not required.
