Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients' comfort needs during therapy sessions
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in physical therapy
Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Orthopedic, Neurosurgery & Physiatry service line provides a full range of musculoskeletal care for the Central Oregon community including trauma, acute care, inpatient and outpatient surgical care, preventative and chronic care in ambulatory settings, and athletic training services at various school and training locations as contracted by local school districts. The Orthopedic, Neurosurgery & Physiatry service line is led by a physician and administrative dyad team providing oversight and input into the required services, standards of care, clinical quality, team composition and staff needs. In addition, the Orthopedics, Neurosurgery & Physiatry service line also works closely with the Acute Care and Emergency General Surgery teams to ensure a collaborative approach to the treatment of patients. Services may change over time as the needs of the business and community change.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Certified Athletic Trainer coordinates the sports medicine coverage at assigned high schools for athletic practices and events as contracted by local school districts. In accordance with state athletic trainer laws, the Certified Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services to student athletes under the direction of team physicians or by written referrals from physicians. In addition, the Certified Athletic Trainer may assist in the clinical setting as part of the Orthopedic Tech team as approved by the Orthopedic Tech Supervisor. The hours of operation for this position are consistent with the school athlete's practices and game schedules which may require nights and weekend work.
This position may include daily travel to various local high schools, local sporting events, and other off-site locations including local training seminars or conferences. This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Provides evaluations, treatments, preventions, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Maintains appropriate general treatment orders to be reviewed annually and approved by the team physician and the Athletic Training Supervisor.
Provides Athletic Trainer services for all home athletic contests and away varsity football games.
Acts as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the Athletic Director, athletes and their parents.
Maintains accurate records of injuries and treatments.
Develops and maintains a budget for the athletic training program at assigned high schools.
Provides the coaches and Athletic Director with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete.
Maintains an appropriate inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
Provides concussion management services and assessment according to the latest protocols and assessment tools.
Assists with The Center Foundation events and programs and acts as a representative with the community.
Follows all HIPAA and OSAA regulations and guidelines.
May assist in the cast room with the application and removal of casts/splints, fitting of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), and assist with minor surgical procedures using aseptic technique. This must have prior approval by the Orthopedic Technician Supervisor.

Treehouse Therapies is looking for a passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapists to join our highly-skilled, dedicated team of Physical, Occupational, and Behavioral Health Therapists. Treehouse Therapies is a growing multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient clinic with locations in Bend and Redmond Oregon. We work with children and families in our clinics, in their homes, in the pool, and on horseback. In Bend, we we are located on a 20 acre equestrian ranch. We have converted the 3600 sq foot home on the ranch into a beautiful therapy clinic. This location allows us to incorporate the therapeutic attributes of animals and nature to accomplish our therapy goals. We have a 3600 sq foot farmhouse in Redmond OR with an indoor pool.
The ideal candidate would have experience with pediatrics and be available to work after school hours. Currently, we have full time and part-time opportunities (not contract or temporary), the pay is competitive. Duties include evaluation, re-assessment, and treatment of children birth to 18 years old with a variety of diagnoses. We believe in a team-oriented approach in the treatment of the whole child and in supporting families.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities with the desire to be part of a team working to make a difference for the children and families in our community. Required qualifications include:
1. Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
2. Experience with the pediatric population
3. Able to work afternoon hours/ early evening hours
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:
1. Communicate in a clear, understandable, and professional manner on the phone and in-person
2. Management of caseload including scheduling, sending reminder notices, and efficient turnaround of billing/reports
3. Administrative support where needed
4. Strong written communication skills
5. Ability to learn and apply new information, knowledge, and experiences in an efficient manner
6. Flexible and adaptable to change and ability to articulate the need for support
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
8. Work as a collaborative team member with OT and Behavioral Health.

DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY: The Rehabilitation Department provides therapy and nursing services to patients, families and patient's caregivers including: Rehabilitation Nursing Care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. Our department operates as a system department and provides services to Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, Home Health and Outpatient settings across four campuses. Our Rehabilitation departments offer a variety of specialty services across the various services delivery areas.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides treatment and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician. Works with family and team members regarding patient's abilities and goals.
This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to Oregon State Occupational Therapy Licensing Board.
Provides occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to achieve desired outcomes.
Provides staff consultation and training.
Provides community resource knowledge and referral services.
Provides occupational therapy services to other hospital service areas.
May be required to drive Rehabilitation van and meet all related SCHS vehicle policy requirements.
Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to assure patient care is accomplished effectively and efficiently in a cost effective manner.
Participates in clinical care conferencing.
Gathers data and accurately documents information in a timely manner demonstrating compliance with departmental and professional regulations.
Participates with team members in facilitating patient's and family's learning throughout the continuum of care. Reinforces patient's continued health care through teaching and/or referral to community agency follow-up.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Must have one year of experience with therapy procedures, current orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices.
