How you'll contribute
Put your physical therapy skills to work where they're really needed -evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them get better, day by day. You'll also instruct the nursing staff and the patient's families on follow-through programs that build on the progress they've made
Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records

Responsibilities
Our PhysicalTherapists (PTs) examine and treat patients with physical impairments through the use of physical modalities. The goal is to assist persons who are physically challenged to improve mobility and function, independent self-care, other skills necessary for functioning in daily living. Our PhysicalTherapists (PTs) use our Specialty Programs, including Balance and Fall Prevention, Spine Safety, Total Hip and Knee Replacement Program, and our Total Shoulder Replacement Program to treat our patients.
Qualifications

Required Licenses / Certifications: Valid Idaho State License or Idaho State License Eligible Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC). Current CPR/AED BLS certification from Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification agency. Current driver's license (Willing to obtain Idaho driver's license upon hire).
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Current licensure as an Athletic Trainer or license eligible. This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification. An original card must be verified prior to start date. Experience in a variety of computer programs including databases, word processing, and internet. Work schedule includes weekend schedule and evening events when required.
BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing athletic training services to student athletes in the high school setting, and other outreach and clinical/rehab areas as Physician Extender, in accordance with the contract between Orthopedic Institute & Bingham Memorial Hospital and area school districts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Evaluation and treatment of student athletes in the high school setting . Maintain required paperwork for each patient/athlete with injury tracking system for assigned schools. Maintains proper documentation on all athletes or patients. Maintains documentation on each service performed. Educates the athlete and/or patient and family as part of the treatment plan and rehabilitative process. Provides rehabilitative intervention and performs athletic testing protocols. Works in compliance with each contract, with the Athletic Director and Orthopedic Institute to develop coverage.
Communicate with medical professionals regarding athletes' goals, treatment, and progress. Communicate with Coaching Staff and School Administration regarding athletes' goals, treatment, and progress. Communicate with Athletes Parent or Legal Guardian regarding athletes' goals, treatment, and progress. Attend staff meetings and professional conferences as requested. Maintain Continuing Education Units to remain in compliance with certification and licensure. Maintain Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) . Develop/maintain programming relating to athletic training. Travel outside the normal travel for job functions may be required. Provide marketing materials/communications with referral sources. Any additional duties as requested by the director/coordinator of athletic training pertaining to provision of care or departmental function. Upholds and demonstrates in daily work, the facility's core values. Demonstrates knowledge of assessment, documentation and use of the Limited English Proficiency tools for the LEP person. Understands and maintains the Patient's Rights policy, reporting problems as necessary. Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance. BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing athletic training services to student athletes in the high school setting, and other outreach and clinical/rehab areas as Physician Extender, in accordance with the contract between Orthopedic Institute & Bingham Memorial Hospital and area school districts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communicate with Coaching Staff and School Administration regarding athletes' goals, treatment, and progress. Maintain Continuing Education Units to remain in compliance with certification and licensure. Maintain Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) . Responsibilities
Our PhysicalTherapists examine and treat patients with physical impairments through the use of physical modalities. The goal is to assist persons who are physically challenged to improve mobility and function, independent self-care, other skills necessary for functioning in daily living. We have Specialty Programs that include Balance and Fall Prevention, Spine Safety, Total Hip and Knee Replacement Program, and our Total Shoulder Replacement Program. He/she administers skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services and teaches the family and other members of the health care team. These services are performed in accordance with the physician's orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
This part-time salaried position works 24 hours/week, over 4 days in the week, and is eligible for our 60% paid days off program.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Must possess automobile liability insurance.
Must wear seatbelts at all times while driving.
Must have dependable transportation kept in good working condition.
Must be able to drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.
Must be currently licensed in the state of employment.
