Role Description

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior (HWC) training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. May be required to work flexible hours.

Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time PhysicalTherapist to join our team of professionals. Our clients are a physicaltherapist run and directed private company. Our client work closely with the best and most advanced orthopedic surgeons in the southwest U.S.. Our client help to direct and shape the orthopedic care CORE patient's get throughout the state of Arizona. PhysicalTherapists work directly with PTAs and PT Techs on private treatment teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1. Assesses patient condition, establishes goals, treatments and care plan in conjunction with the
physician, patient/family.
2. Ensures that appropriate treatment is performed in interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians
about impact of physical therapy factors on the patient's health status.
3. Documents findings, treatments and other patient information for the medial record.
4. Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies/exercises.
5. Serves as information/education resource for patients, families and staff.
6. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Technicians.
7. Serves as a resource to Physical Therapy staff.
8. Provides on-going education to the Physical Therapy staff.
9. Assists the director with patient care issues.
10. Maintains patient confidentiality.

Here's an overview of the primary responsibilities of a PhysicalTherapist:
Comprehensive Assessment: Through clinical examination and relevant diagnostic tests, PhysicalTherapists identify impairments, functional limitations, and contributing factors to develop a holistic understanding of each patient's condition.
Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines. PhysicalTherapists utilize a variety of interventions, including - therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, modalities, and patient education, to address impairments, improve function, and promote overall well-being.
Manual Therapy and Therapeutic Techniques: Perform hands-on manual therapy techniques, such as joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and manual stretching, to address musculoskeletal dysfunctions and improve tissue mobility. PhysicalTherapists also prescribe therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and neuromuscular re-education exercises to enhance strength, flexibility, and motor control.
Pain Management and Modalities: PhysicalTherapists tailor the application of treatment modalities to each patient's needs, closely monitoring their responses and adjusting treatment parameters as necessary.
Functional Training and Rehabilitation: Guide patients through functional mobility training, gait training, and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining to improve their ability to perform essential tasks and participate in meaningful activities. PhysicalTherapists incorporate real-life scenarios and environmental modifications to facilitate the transfer of skills to home and community settings.

The PhysicalTherapist (PT) works collaboratively with members of the team to assess students and assist in developing a plan for integrating services. QUALIFICATIONS:

* Consults with teachers, parents, other personnel and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services and/or making recommendations and/or referrals.
* Prepares documentation (e.g. evaluations, observations, progress, contacts with parents, teachers, and outside professionals, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support, developing recommendations and/or conveying information.
* Trains parents and school staff in activities, use of assistive technology, and/or appropriate accommodations to be implemented throughout the school day and across environments.
* Screening and evaluating students with disabilities or special needs.
* Collaborates with teaching staff to identify and implement alternative instructional strategies, environmental modifications, and changes to routines or schedules.
* Presents information on various topics related to Physical Therapy for the purpose of educating parents, students, school personnel and staff.
* Maintains accurate student records and keeps information secure and confidential.
