What You'll Do
Provide excellent health care for our patients. Patients should achieve good outcomes and be happy with their experience of physical therapy.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients to help them recover from injury, manage pain, and restore mobility. Understand their current medical and emotional situations and then develop plans of care.
Create measurable, functional goals and adjust plans of care as patients progress.
Educate patients on treatment options, home exercises, and strategies to prevent re-injury.
Supervise and guide Techs during patient care setup and cleanup.
Use evidence-based pain management techniques to improve function.
Determine discharge timelines and provide patients with strategies for long-term success.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharges accurately and on time.
Achieve a reasonable level of productivity. This depends on the number of referrals and the type of patient presenting. However, with our normal outpatient orthopedic population, Team expects 60 treatments in a 40 hour work week from a full-time PhysicalTherapist.
Participate in clinic research projects and protocol development.
Stay current on best practices through in-house CEUs and continuing education.

Duties to be Performed:
The provider is expected to perform physical therapy consultations / procedures within the confines of his / her licensure, and within the confines of the equipment, supplies, and / or materials available to perform such procedures. Such procedures are interpreted to be part of the proposed contract and reimbursed in accordance with the proposed contract.
The provider agrees to provide physical therapy consultations and procedures on-site for child & adolescent and adult as requested on referral basis by the hospital. Services include, but are not limited to:
a. Whirlpool therapy
b. Gait training
c. Hot / cold packs
d. Manual therapy techniques
e. Therapeutic ultrasound, tens unit
f. Electrical muscle stimulation
g. Range of motion, strengthening, stretching techniques

The provider shall perform these services at a time mutually agreed upon by both the provider and the hospital.
The provider shall provide documentation regarding services performed in accordance with hospital standards and guidelines. Consultation reports shall be legible and include objective findings, diagnosis, and recommendations.
The provider shall conduct in-service training for the benefit of the hospital staff, if needed, on subjects agreed to by both the hospital and the provider and shall be reimbursed according to prices submitted by the awarded contractor. Both the hospital and the provider shall agree to date of presentation/s, length, and participants.
The provider will not bill third party payers for any services provided to WRPH patients.
Proof of training, licensure, and certification must be submitted upon application. Updated copies shall be automatically submitted to WRPH credentialing secretary when issued.
