1986

The company grew steadily, and, in 1986, General Electric executive Larry Adelsperger joined P.T. Services as a part-owner and executive director.

1989

In 1989, P.T. Services moved its corporate office to its current location at 2550 S. SR 100, Tiffin.

1990

The 1990's brought much attention to manual therapy, with formal residency programs becoming more numerous.

1991

During the summer of 1991, Norwegian manual therapist Freddy Kaltenborne helped create the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). Doctor Stanley Paris, PT and Ola Grimsby, PT were among the founding members.

1992

Bay Area CEO charged in 1992 murder

1993

Allison Stringer, Physical Therapist, is the Clinic Director for Professional Physical Therapy in Salem, MA. Allison received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 1993.

2000

President Alan Balavender, a physical therapist himself, purchased and started the first PTSMC clinic in Waterbury in 2000.

In 2000, she achieved the status of a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists after completed the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.

2001

Abrams volunteered and worked his way through PT school, graduating from University of the Pacific in Stockton in 2001.

2002

Some of these advances have continued to grow, with computerized modalities such as ultrasound, electric stimulators, and iontophoresis with the latest advances in therapeutic cold laser, which gained FDA approval in the United States in 2002.

2003

In June of 2003, Mark Somodi was named the company’s executive director, and, after a corporate restructuring in 2003, the company’s name was formalized as P.T. Services Rehabilitation, Inc.
