Responsibilities
Follow OSHA standards of care and documentation of first aid provided to workplace employees
Provide quality service to employers in accordance with contractual agreements established by PTSMC
Provide job-site analysis to identify potential injury risks and collaborate with client management in addressing these factors through awareness, education, and intervention
Establish and report injury data and cost savings information to employers engaged in PTSMC employer services
Establish training and education and preventative programs as directed by employers for delivery to employees
Participate in ergonomic, safety & injury prevention, and management meetings with employers
Communicate effectively with employers, physicians, and other relevant healthcare providers
Qualifications
Licensed & certified Athletic Trainer
Prior experience providing athletic training services in an employer-based environment
Certified Athletic Trainer with NATA
Current CPR/AED Professional Rescue and Healthcare Certification
Certification in Ergonomics
Certification in OSHA-10 or greater
Self-starter with ability to work autonomously

Must be at least 18 years old.

Key Areas of Ownership
You will be an integral part of the Client Experience and work closely with patients throughout their Optimal Health journey
You will help create a welcoming, safe environment for patients to receive care and seek out opportunities to elevate their experience through attentive customer service
You will perform patient related tasks using accepted modalities and procedures geared to progressing patients toward meeting their functional goals under the direct supervision and instruction of the Physical Therapist
Set up and prepare exercise equipment and observe the patient during treatment
Assist and motivate patients in exercise programs
You will help to maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, clinic floor, locker rooms, and equipment.
Ensure the workspace is prepared to serve clients in a safe and sanitary manner.
Clean linen daily, fold, and change linen as necessary, and help maintain neat and clean conditions
Clean hydrocollator machine, paraffin, treatment tables, etc. per policy and procedure guidelines and as directed.
Scanning of patient documents, importing them into our EMR system, and correctly maintain the integrity of the EMR.
Perform administrative responsibilities, such as but not limited to checking in patients, actively scheduling appointments, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms
Abide by all facility and/or organizational policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by Physical Therapists, Providers, and/or a support team.
To Succeed in this Role, you will Need
High School Diploma or General Education Development.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Passion towards health and wellness
Must have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
Computer literate, experience with data-entry a plus (Apple preferred).
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage your time.
Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, and some Saturdays.
Ability to perform under pressure and fixed time constraints.
2+ years of customer service experience (Bonus).

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of therapeutic practices and patient care principles.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under the supervision of licensed therapists.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and bending.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a therapy aide or in a healthcare support role.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Completion of a therapy aide training program or relevant coursework.
Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:
Assist therapists in preparing treatment areas and therapy equipment prior to patient sessions.
Support patients during therapy exercises by providing physical assistance and motivation as directed by therapists.
Monitor patient safety and report any concerns or changes in patient condition to the supervising therapist.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
Document patient attendance and therapy activities accurately to support clinical records and billing processes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to facilitate coordinated care.
Transport patients to and from therapy areas when necessary, ensuring comfort and safety.

The Therapy Aide utilizes strong communication skills daily to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with therapists and other healthcare professionals. Attention to detail is essential when preparing therapy equipment and documenting patient activities to ensure accuracy and safety. Physical stamina and dexterity are frequently employed to assist patients with exercises and mobility tasks, promoting their rehabilitation progress. Problem-solving skills help the Therapy Aide adapt to varying patient needs and respond promptly to any safety concerns. Additionally, organizational skills are critical for maintaining a clean and orderly therapy environment, which supports efficient and effective treatment delivery.
